Meet the Professional

Martin O'Connor

 Martin joined Chester Golf Club in 1996 and decided to turn Professional in 2002.  He enroled in the PGA National Diploma, a three year course covering coaching, business management, club repairs, rules and sports science.

Since graduating in 2005 whilst at De Vere Carden Park, Martin moved on to coach full time at the Three Hammers Golf Complex, Woverhampton before returning to the area.  Since then, he has been teaching locally in Tarporley and has built good relationships with schools in the area.

As well as coaching, Martin still plays tournament golf within the PGA North Region and has enjoyed some success over the years including reaching the PGA National Pro Am Grand Final in Antalya, Turkey.

Martin lives in Nantwich with his wife Leanie and daughter Edie.  He enjoys keeping active as well as spending time at home.  A keen traveller, Martin has enjoyed playing golf around the world but has a real soft spot for Cape Town.
