Communication

Communication - a matter of Governance

A key finding from the recent Members Survey was around communication to members and transparency of Board/ Management discussions and decisions. The plan to address this is as follows:-

1. Member Open Forum
The General Manager, key department heads and the Board intend to hold to Open Forum sessions at the Clubhouse where members can ask about plans, progress and issues they are concerned with or want to know more about.

The first such session will be held on Thursday March 21st at 7pm in the Main Dining Area, where, amongst other items, Richie Stephens will discuss the Course – the winter work and planned activities for the year and give insight to the future course development.

Questions are requested to be sent to Phil Beard (enquiries@vicarscrossgolf.co.uk) up to a week beforehand.

The AGM and an end of season (October) Open Forum will provide further opportunities for members to be kept aware of, involved in and up to date with club developments.

2. ‘Ask Phil’ – management of suggestions, complaints, queries.

Club management is well aware that there are many ideas and suggestions for improvement within the Club. If you have any of these, have any complaints/uncertainty about matters, or wish to understand exactly what the club position is on a related subject, please send your point to

enquiries@vicarscrossgolf.co.uk

You will receive an acknowledgement and our GM Phil will ensure you receive a response, typically within 2 weeks.

There is plenty of talk (and rumour) about many matters in and out of the Clubhouse. It is hoped this initiative will allow the opportunity for a ‘formal’ response to bring certainty and clarity and promote an opportunity for improvement within the Club.

Further, there has been much less than favourable comment about the website. Work is underway to significantly enhance this and upgrade/improve the overall feel, look and image of the Club. Watch out for more details on this soon.
