After a wet start to the year the final of the Men’s Winter League was finally played a few weeks late. Tom Mathews and Sam Padimore beat Aled and Dan Affleck by 36-29.
You should have received information regarding this year’s knockouts. The President’s Cup singles has already been drawn but entry to the men’s pairs, scratch and the mixed KOs are still open until the end of April.
Unfortunately we have not been able to resume qualifying competitions due to the wet condition of the course. Only when the rough becomes firm enough to prevent easy loss of balls will we do so.
We are grateful once again to Gallagher’s of Sandycroft for sponsoring our Ladies and Men’s Gallagher’s Days in April. Please look out for news and note a change to the diary from May 8th & 11th to the following week, May 15th & 18th. This is to make way for the Chester Festivals the week before.
As we move into the season proper you will see our Open competitions starting. Please look out for shout-outs for assisting on these days. They are vital fund raisers for the Club and it is important we present a warm welcome the visiting players. You are also eligible to play in these competitions: entry is on-line via our website.
